Big Screen TV's
So here goes. I don't have a big screen TV-not interested in ever having one (no doubt, now that I've said that, I'll get one soon). Today (since it will no doubt change in the near future), I tend to recommend DLP for big screen. The reason is that it's easy to maintain, has reasonable color, contrast, brightness, and viewing angle. It's also cost effective. and it's what they use in digital movie theatres (like that really matters).
Plasma has big advertising dollars behind it, it's not bad, but does put out a lot more energy, and has a bit of a life limitation on it as well.
LCD and LED don't really impress me with brightness and viewing angle. Maybe in the future, but for now I don't recommend them. Well, dead pixels too. Those happen.
Projection TV is what they started with with big screens. Huge boxes. 'nuff said.
I have a regular old tube TV. Works fine. I think it's Panasonic. So, if you're interested in a stinkin' TV, comment with a question?
